Disitertide (P144) is a synthetic 14-amino-acid peptide derived from the membrane-proximal ligand-binding domain of the human TGF-β type III receptor, studied as a TGF-β1-antagonist research reagent. It is used across fibrosis-model research — including chemically induced liver injury and bleomycin-induced skin fibrosis models — scar and tissue-repair research, and, separately, tumor-cell apoptosis and TGF-β/Smad signaling research in glioblastoma, gastric-cancer, and osteosarcoma cell-line models.
