Kisspeptin-10 (KP-10), also referenced as Metastin 45-54, is the shortest biologically active C-terminal fragment of the KISS1-derived metastin precursor and a potent endogenous ligand for the KISS1R (GPR54) receptor. It is used as a research tool for studying hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis pulsatility, gonadotropin secretion dynamics, and puberty-onset mechanisms, and — separately — tumor-metastasis signaling via CXCR4 pathway research.
